Talc powder is pure white, silvery white, pink or light yellow fine powder, insoluble in water, chemical properties.

Inactive, soft and greasy, it is a typical plate-shaped filler. Its crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, hexagonal or rhombus-shaped, often in the form of flakes, scales or dense block aggregates. The flake cleavage is extremely complete. The chemical composition of talcum powder is hydrated magnesium silicate, which is composed of basic units. The aggregates form upper and lower layers, and the layers are combined by weak van der Waals forces, so it is easy to peel and slip between the layers when external force is applied.

Talc powder, as a plastic filler, can improve the hardness, fire resistance, acid and alkali resistance, electrical insulation, dimensional stability, and creep resistance of the product.
